Where your donation goes, step by step.

We're new, so we'd rather show you everything than ask for blind trust. Here's how money moves, who our partners are, how we vet them, and what happens next.

Our legal status today

HOW MONEY MOVES

Our partners never touch the money

Instead of sending funds abroad, we pay the vendors who supply the Qur'ans and materials. Every dollar is tied to a real, itemized invoice.

1. You give

Online or through a drive at your masjid. Gifts are held for Qur'ans and Islamic educational materials only.

2. Partner sends invoices

Our partner identifies the centers in need and sends us itemized invoices from the vendors supplying the materials.

3. We pay vendors directly

We verify each invoice and pay the vendor ourselves. Our partner then documents every delivery.

About $3 per Qur'an at our current cost

OUR PARTNERS

Two countries, on purpose

While we're new, we're keeping our reach to two partners. If either doesn't work out, we'll change course.

THE GAMBIA

Gambia Supreme Islamic Council (GSIC)

The GSIC oversees a large network of Qur'an memorization centers across The Gambia and works alongside the Gambian national government.

We're in advanced talks. The GSIC is preparing the specifics: how many materials are needed, their cost, and which vendors will supply them.

SENEGAL

Teacher-connected partner

An early-stage partnership through a personal connection with one of our teachers.

Progress so far is limited. We expect to advance it in the coming months and will report details here as they're confirmed.

WHAT WE ASK OF PARTNERS

Four commitments, in writing

Our international partners are the backbone of this work. These are the commitments that let us trust each other, and let the communities we serve trust us both.

1

Receive responsibly

Manage every material and resource responsibly from the moment it arrives.

2

Distribute locally

Coordinate through mosque networks, community leaders, and trusted local figures so materials reach those who need them most.

3

No diversion

Direct every resource exclusively to underserved communities, for no other purpose.

4

Document everything

Provide complete, accurate records of everything received and distributed.

HOW WE VET PARTNERS

Our four-stage verification

Distributing religious texts is regulated in many countries. We check each partner before any money moves, and keep checking after.

STAGE 1Organization & legal screening
  • Verify the organization's in-country registration, including any specific permit to import or distribute religious materials.
  • Confirm it isn't on any sanctions list (OFAC, UN, EU).
  • Check whether government or religious-authority approval is needed to distribute religious texts in that country.
  • Verify printing and translation sources are credible and recognized, so every Qur'an is authentic.
STAGE 2Local reputation & network checks
  • Confirm with local mosques, Islamic councils, or religious affairs ministries that the partner is recognized and trusted.
  • Ask other faith-based and humanitarian organizations in the region about the partner.
  • Look for any history of disputes, such as distributing non-standard or altered texts.
STAGE 3On-the-ground verification
  • Where possible, have a trusted local contact confirm materials reach the intended recipients and aren't resold.
  • Verify storage and warehousing conditions where relevant.
STAGE 4Ongoing monitoring
  • Collect regular distribution reports with numbers, locations, and recipient feedback.
  • Reconfirm permits and registration every year, since regulations can change.
